It would be great to have an entire translation dictionary alongside these books so we can know what the demons are saying, but I’m guessing the words are meaningful which is why we’re not supposed to find out what they mean yet. While we got hints and tidbits about his language and world in this book there’s still so much left to know, especially where the language is concerned. I can’t wait to find out more about Zylas, his character is fascinating the way he’s so curious about everything but at the same time seems desperate to return home. Watching her go through some of the brutal things she did in this book was captivating, she’s already progressed so much in such a small time, learning to stand her ground and not be intimidated.

She’s just so sweet and way tougher that she gives herself credit for. Robin might eclipse Tori as my new favorite lead because her inner voice is so relatable. I’ll admit it did make me super hungry for sweets though, not that that’s a bad thing. The baking element was hilarious and sweet and I’m glad that it’s going to continue as a way of bringing them closer to each other. I’m not sure if there’s a romance in the works or just a strong partnership but I’m on board for either, their interactions were amazing. Banter is my favorite thing and it’s basically the core of the relationship between these two. I thought I loved GC: Spellbound but I might love Robin and Zylas more.
